8 THINGS EVERY CAVALIER KING CHARLES OWNER KNOWS8 things only a Cavalier King Charles owner knows. Having Herky and Milton and being a cav mom for the past 7 (almost 8!) years has taught me one or two things about Cavaliers. Of course these traits can be associated with other breeds too. And not all cavaliers do this, but at least in my experience.  In no particular order, here are the 8 things: 1- They love humans and I mean they loooove humans. Way more than they love dogs. They will always gravitate towards humans more than dogs at the park. When they meet a human, they are so happy. 2- You will never go to the bathroom alone Whether it be for potty or shower, they will always want to follow you to the bathroom. They must know what you are doing at all times! 3- You will « never » wear black again They shed. A lot. I know I am wearing black in the photo and in the video but it was not cute up close. 4- They always act starved They always act like they have never been fed for years. Those eyes will get you and they will fool anyone! They have bottomless stomachs. 5- They will always find your lap They were designed to be lap dogs, after all :) 6- They hate closed doors They will scratch to go in, scratch to get out. Just leave the doors open! 7- They sleep a lot A sleepy dog is a happy dog! Just make sure your cavalier gets proper exercise and mental stimulation throughout the day. 8- They are very entitled Try telling them "no" for the couch or the bed. Just try! Relate to any of this?
