BeOneBreed - Review
I love discovering new dog brands and products, especially when it turns out they are local. I happened to stumble upon BeOneBreed's Facebook Page a few months ago, and was happily surprised with the simplicity of their branding. I noticed that they're a Quebec brand and their product selection was curated.
About the brand
BeOneBreed was previously known as Comfy Solution, founded in 2011. Their mission is to design and deliver solutions for comfort, fun and wellbeing of pets. They offer innovative and accessible products for dogs and cats.
They were very kind and sent over some items for the girls to review. A Cozy bed, a Twisted Twine rubber toy, and a Baby Giraffe fabric toy.
Cozy Bed Wood
I'll be honest. The girls have a lot of beds, toys, collars, leashes. You name it, they probably have a few of them laying around the house. But this bed is special and really caught my eye. It feels incredibly luxe, and is made out of memory foam. It's very soft to the touch, and has a cloud pillow center. Honestly, I would love a bed like this for myself.
It's also very trendy because of the wood motif on the bed, and matches perfectly with my floors and couch. The girls have the size small which measures 23"x19". It's big enough for both girls to sleep in it, if they're cuddling. But most of the time, Milton will shotgun it.
Another thing I look for in beds, is whether they're easy to clean or not. With this bed, you can remove the cover from the pillow, and pop it in the washing machine. For the body of the bed, you can lint roll and spot clean.
I also love the fact that this bed is completely slip-proof. The entire bottom surface is made up of a non-slip material, making it sturdy and stable wherever you put it. I tried moving the bed with my feet, pretending to walk into it, and it didn't slide away. Bonus points for this.
Twisted Twine Rubber Toy
We also received this Twisted Twine rubber toy, which is part of their twisted collection. It's made from 100% rubber, allowing you to play tug of war, or fetch on land or in the pool. I'm guessing it floats - but I haven't tried.
I was actually very eager to try this toy, because Milton loves ropes. However, I don't give her traditional rope toys to play with anymore, because she tears them up and swallows the thread.
Good news is that when Milton actually lets Herky play, she loves it too! The toy is very durable, so there are no pieces of rubber that break off. They don't play tug together, because Herky is afraid of Milton. Poor Herky.
Funny fact: Milton actually takes this toy with her to sleep. Just so she can guard it.
Baby Giraffe Fabric Toy
How adorable is this Baby Giraffe toy? It actually reminds me of a toy for human babies. This toy squeaks, crinkles and has a rubber teething ring too. It's like an all-in-one for puppies. Plus, it's cute.
Obviously, Milton shotgunned this toy and claimed it as hers.
The downside of any fabric toy, is that they're usually not very durable. This toy is a puppy toy too, making it softer and more suitable for baby teeth. Milton was able to destroy this toy within an hour of getting her paws on it :(
I would strongly advise that once your pup's toy gets to this stage, that you throw it out. If your pups are anything like mine, they will most likely eat the stuffing. No good.
This toy doesn't go to complete waste though. I was able to pull the teething ring out of the baby giraffe, and use it as a stand-alone toy!
BeOneBreed has definitely impressed me as a brand. I love their website, their product offering and their color schemes. Everything that they offer has a simple design, and a great function.
My favorite item is obviously the Cozy Bed. It looks so beautiful, it's practical and the girls love to sleep in it. I love how Pinterest-y it looks, how easy it is to clean, and how it doesn't slip and slide when it's on the floor. As for their toys, you have to be careful to choose something that you know will withstand your pup's chewing abilities. My girls are heavy chewers, so that poor Baby Giraffe didn't stand a chance.
I hope you enjoyed this review - thanks for reading :)
